Faisal Al-HammadiPresident
A natural curiosity and drive to build more efficiently and productively has always been the catalyst behind our founder’s success. As a Civil Engineer, Faisal began his career in road construction, becoming a General Road Director in his native Yemen in the late 90’s. His time operating an Engineering Consultancy firm helped uncover and nurture a passion for full-scale community development. His dream became reality shortly after moving to Nova Scotia in the fall of 2000, when he started what has now become FH Development Group.
Alaaddin Al-Hammadi, MBA, BEngGeneral Manager
Formally trained as a Civil Engineer, the years have been very busy for Alaaddin since immigrating to Canada in 2001. His record of achievement, as a Project Manager, in numerous construction projects paved the way for his ascension to his current position of company General Manager. His inquisitive nature and capacity for critical thinking are always readily apparent. From the performance of general labour and landscaping duties early in his career, to executing Quality Assurance and Quality Control on major industrial and institutional projects, he truly personifies the saying “hands-on!” Throw in the completion of his MBA from Saint Mary’s in 2013, and it’s easy to see how he relishes every daily challenge.
Mohamed Al-Hammadi, MBA, CMAController
To say that Mohamed has been a major part of our success would not in any way be hyperbolic. In fairness, his business acumen and astute understanding of market opportunities have been instrumental in our growth. As our “numbers” man, it’s not uncommon to find Mohamed elbow-deep in statements and invoices, or, for that matter, with a calculator in his hands. Makes sense then that his comfort zone resides in his role as company Controller. An alumnus of Saint Mary’s, where he earned his MBA, Mohamed also holds a Certified Management Accountant designation.
Graham DurantConstruction Coordinator
An invaluable member of our team for years, Graham is our resident “expert of all things” in home building. With over 20 years’ experience in residential construction, he coordinates and, in most cases, takes care of any issues arising after your purchase. And when we say Graham can fix anything, we do mean anything! He’s also responsible for repairing any deficiencies covered by the New Home Warranty.
Mohammed Al SuraimiProperty Administrator
Mohamed Joined our team in 2014, with experience in renovation scheduling, property management, as well as marketing and leasing. Mohammed brings to the team strong organizational skills, communication skills, as well as being versatile in adapting to the organizational needs.
Larry Thomas, BA, BEd.New Home Sales
When you have over 30 years’ experience in new home construction, real estate development, design, and sales, the word “expertise” comes to mind. And while Larry’s reluctant to say it, we will! He’s an expert in everything you need to know when buying or building the home of your dreams. As a licensed member of the Nova Scotia Association of Realtors, the former educator in the Humanities and Social Sciences truly understands what’s vitally important when designing communities. As an ardent proponent of community involvement, Larry’s a member of Bedford Evirotowns, Commuter Rail Initiative, Spirit of Nova Scotia, and the CDHA Research Ethics Board. He has also volunteered with Bedford/Dunbrack Minor Soccer.
Paul O’BrienNew Home Sales
As the former owner of one of the largest interconnect telephone companies in Canada, Paul brought his technological expertise and sales acumen to real estate many years ago. Specializing in lifestyle homes and multi-family residential development, his knowledge, experience and passion for new home construction is obvious. As an avid golfer, and supporter of Minor Hockey, Paul’s opinion is highly valued, particularly during the planning stages for new projects and developments. You see, he knows what active families want and need, in respect to location and amenities. A supporter of community volunteerism, Paul has served on the Board for Habitat for Humanity.
